At Carpe Diem we believe everyone should be able to seize the day. Not having a means of transportation can seriously hinder your ability to seize opportunity and create a good life for yourself.
How do we choose who receives a vehicle?
We require every participant in our program to meet specific criteria. They must provide a valid drivers license, be below a certain income threshold, pass a background check, and prove that they currently have a job, or are currently looking for one. Once they receive the vehicle they will have to prove they have a job within 2 months of receiving it and have to keep that job for at least a year.

Do our donations stay local?
All of our donations stay within the state of Utah. We believe that the closer the circle of influence is in charity and assistance, the bigger the impact it creates.

Are there tax credits available?
Yes! You can deduct the fair market value of the vehicle on your taxes for the year you donated the vehicle.

Does my car need to run to donate it?
Nope! We take cars in all sorts of conditions. Running or not running. We will work with what we get and great appreciate all available donations!
How do I donate my vehicle?
First, call us at 1-800-555-CARS or fill out our online questionnaire. You can provide us with the necessary information about your vehicle donation.
Second, schedule a time and place for us to pick up your vehicle. We can also schedule a time for you to drop off your vehicle if that works better for you.
Finally, you will receive the necessary documentation to claim the donation on your tax return in the mail.
